Baking Makes Me Happy

If you have ever looked through my Instagram, you have probably seen the hashtag “#BakingMakesMeHappy” on almost every post. It is something I have said for years because it is genuinely true. Baking has always been a part of my life, from baking with my sisters when I was younger to later teaching my kids how to bake too. What started as a hobby slowly turned into My Wicked Bakery about six years ago after people kept asking me to sell my cakes. Even now, it still feels more like something I love than a job.
Baking is the one thing that allows me to completely disconnect and focus only on creating. I love every part of the process, from experimenting with flavors to carefully decorating each cake and seeing the final result come together. That is also why my cakes have such a specific style. I have always preferred elegant and minimalist designs over cakes that feel too overwhelming. I love subtle details that add beauty without taking away from the flavor or quality of the cake itself. Everything is meant to feel intentional, clean, and special.
A lot of my inspiration comes from scrolling through Pinterest and Instagram, especially modern and luxury-inspired aesthetics. I love creating cakes that people not only enjoy eating, but also feel excited to show off at their events. At the end of the day, “baking makes me happy” is more than just a hashtag to me. It is the reason behind every cake I create and the heart behind My Wicked Bakery. Every cake I make carries that happiness with it, and my hope is that people feel just as much joy receiving it as I felt creating it.
